Reason for review
The average price of a laptop in Russia last year was 35.5 thousand rubles, which is even 3% lower than in 2019. And this is taking into account the general increase in prices.
In 2021, inflation, the weakening of the ruble and the shortage in the component market made themselves felt, so that in February the average price of a laptop sold in Russia (according to Rosstat measurements) was 37,978 rubles. However, you remember how the average price is calculated. Someone has a laptop for 200 thousand, and someone for 20, but formally both are happy, since the average price of laptops is 110 thousand rubles.

Review of the smartphone Samsung Galaxy A22s 5G (SM A226B/DSN)
A niche smartphone with 5G support for minimal money - it's not even on the Samsung website, but it's sold in Russia. Compare with Galaxy A22 - is it worth the money?
Kia Picanto test. The last of the city cars
Somehow imperceptibly, almost all compact city cars left Russia, which replaced compact class sedans and liftbacks like Hyundai Solaris and Skoda Rapid. There are always two real city cars left on our market, this is the hero of our material Kia Picanto and Chevrolet Spark, along with its counterpart under the Ravon brand.
TCL TW30 MoveAudio S600 TWS headphones review
Any decent smartphone manufacturer is bound to offer their own TWS headset with them. So TCL introduced in December on the Russian market not only a flagship smartphone, but also a flagship headset. Let's see what happened ...
Russia is in a difficult economic situation. A funny phrase, because, in my opinion, in 2015 I read the same words just under the review of some laptop. The humor is that the years go by, but the relevance of the phrase is not lost.
Every year the situation is getting more and more difficult. But at the same time, the need for smartphones and laptops is growing, as today, from tools for work or leisure, these gadgets have turned into the same necessary thing as light and hot water. For any information go to the Internet.
Most of all, schoolchildren and students need a computer, since modern education (especially with remote learning) has become impossible without technology. And, given the general digitalization of the world, it is useful for children to get used to working with technology from an early age.
Usually quite expensive models with an average price of 100 thousand rubles or more come to me for reviews. And although our audience, according to statistics, is 80% residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg with an income above the average, I think it will still be useful to see what a laptop with a price of up to 20 thousand rubles is like.
I'm approaching this review without much expectation, but also without skepticism, because, for example, there are many Android smartphones on the market in the price range from 9 to 15 thousand, which are good and pleasant to use. I say without irony, because I currently use Mi 11 Ultra for 101 thousand rubles and simple realme and Nokia, and I can’t say that my “user experience” is strikingly different.

- USB 3.0 Type A x1
- USB 2.0 Type A x1
- USB Type C 1pc
- microSD x1
- 3.5mm mini jack x 1
The laptop comes in a cardboard box, inside which:
- The laptop itself, wrapped in thick polyethylene;
- Tiny 24W power adapter;
- 4 screws;
- Dense felt case;
- Cloth for wiping;
- Webcam shutter
As I understand it, these are just 4 spare screws in case the current ones are lost. Considering that the laptop supports fast HDD replacement, this is probably a useful thing.
It also comes with a nice case, which I really liked. Thick, dense, with beautiful buttons. Out of curiosity, I even went to the Prestigio website, thinking that I could buy one just like that.
According to the documentation, the kit should have also included a clip-shutter for the webcam. I wanted to write that I didn’t have one, but looked into the envelope and found it. The curtain is attached inside, so pay attention. Useful thing!Plastic with a sticky base is glued to the camera, the shutter can be easily moved.
Concise design, matte plastic, on which prints are invisible. There are no questions about the build quality either. Everything is neatly packaged. Tactilely pleasant body materials and a cool case set in a positive way.
Screen and webcam
The laptop has a 14.1-inch screen. This is a matte TFT TN panel with a resolution of 1366×768 dots. Considering the price, there are no issues for resolution. Maybe I will surprise you, but a resolution of 768 pixels is a relative norm in the segment up to 50 thousand rubles.
The screen has decent viewing angles horizontally, but not vertically. However, the latter will not worry you much, since you can easily find a comfortable angle.
The screen has a brightness of just over 200 nits and a good anti-glare coating that will allow you to use the laptop even if you sit next to a window. The screen has a high PWM, which starts at 80% brightness.
And here is a 0.3 MP webcam. However, the picture is surprisingly good in good lighting conditions. And don't forget that the kit includes a webcam shutter.
Keyboard and touchpad
The Prestigio Smartbook 133 C4 has a surprisingly good keyboard aimed at office workers.
Please note that there are separate Home, End, PgUp and PgDn buttons, and separate arrow keys, and a button responsible for the right mouse button. The keys have a nice deep travel. As a typewriter, the laptop performed well.
The touchpad is slightly larger than the standard size, 11.5 by 7.5 cm. Supports gestures.
This laptop comes with an AMD A4-9120e processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC.
The processor, as you can see, is not the most powerful. The manufacturing process is 28 nm. However, one should not think that this is an ancient “stone”. The processor was introduced in the second quarter of 2019. Its performance is more than enough for all basic activities - a text editor, the Internet, although Full HD videos on YouTube load the processor by 100%. However, the processor is constantly "accelerated" to 100% under any tasks.

Samsung Galaxy A22 (SM-A225F/DSN) review
A model for 18 thousand rubles, which has become adequate in terms of price / quality ratio. AMOLED screen, which is unusual for this money, AoD and other characteristics.
New items of the month: 5 main smartphones of January
Second tier flagships from Samsung, Sony, OnePlus and Honor. And the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro!
In the initial configuration, the laptop is unhurried. Just after turning on the device, I decided, as I usually do, to install Windows updates, transferring the system from version 2004 to the latest May update. It was a mistake. Installing updates took about 3.5 hours. Although, perhaps, here you can find a positive point: the laptop is silent! Well, it cannot be otherwise, since the laptop has passive cooling.
The main reason is a slow drive. Check out the speed results.
I am glad that under the cover there is a compartment for installing any 2.5-inch drive. Accordingly, this is the first thing to do after the purchase. You don't have to buy a big SSD, you just need a fast SSD. Yandex.Market hints that a 128 GB model can be purchased for 1,800 rubles. Choose SATA 3.0, which has a read speed of 300 MB / s. Together with such an SSD, the laptop will immediately work faster. Despite the fact that the screws on the bottom of the laptop can be easily removed, unfortunately I did not manage to remove the cover.
By the way, this is one of the secrets that Xiaomi has mastered. I noticed that recently the company began to equip even the most inexpensive of its smartphones with high-speed memory, thanks to which the devices are perceived very well.
Prestigio claims up to 6 hours of battery life. That's pretty much how it is. In office mode - Word and browser - the laptop lives quite well for 5 - 5.5 hours.
At maximum brightness, the laptop played YouTube (Full HD) for about 3.5 hours.
I don’t say anything about the time of work under maximum load, since, in fact, with any task, the laptop works under maximum load.
Proprietary connector and 24W adapter are used for charging. This, of course, is a minus. If you could charge via Type-C, it would be much more convenient. Today, most smartphones charge at least 30 watts, so you could use a mobile adapter.
There was a great temptation to write off the Prestigio Smartbook 133 C4 right away, but I decided to leave it for the commentators. The fact is that if the product is produced (and this is not the first model of this series), then the laptop is sold, in demand.
I won’t lie: you don’t get much pleasure from work (the contrast is especially striking in my case, when there is a top-end laptop with an OLED screen, a processor and the latest generation graphics on the test). But one cannot but admit that the Prestigio Smartbook 133 C4 works. I wrote this review just on a laptop, although it was an amusing form of entertainment, especially at the moment when I arranged the photos. Each weighs 7 MB and opens in about 10 seconds.
However, I carefully googled the forums and reviews. People buy Prestigio Smartbook 133 C4 for specific tasks and are satisfied. In general, the tasks come down to the fact that you need a portable inexpensive typewriter for basic tasks: fill out documents, answer a letter. Someone buys such a laptop for schoolchildren and students - for video lessons, passing tests and writing essays and term papers (the keyboard allows you to type for a long time without getting tired).
For some Prestigio Smartbook 133 C4, apparently, the first computer, as one buyer is indignant that the keyboard is not backlit (and it is, the FN + spacebar combination). Or look at the review of the girl below, Huawei GX8 Dual SIM 16 GB Gold, who is surprised that the brightness of the colors changes depending on the angle of opening the cover). However, in general, I am satisfied with the product.
I can’t name competitors, because, frankly, I’m “floating” in the segment and I can’t assess who is better and who is worse. I suppose some readers may say that for 20 thousand it is easier to buy a desktop computer. They will be right, with the only exception that the Prestigio Smartbook 133 C4 is purchased primarily because of its compactness and portability. Accordingly, based on these qualities (provided that you do not need Windows 10 Pro), I can recommend buying a tablet, one of the Huawei MatePad or Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Their screen will be smaller, but the screen quality and speed will be higher. By connecting a keyboard, these devices can also be used as typewriters.
