I don’t believe in hydrogen or any other elements, look, we live in 2016, but blasters, coupled with flying cars, did not appear. Most likely, the evolution of batteries will follow the paths that already exist - just a few years ago, no one believed in electric vehicles, but in our time it is no longer exotic.

Removable additional batteries, removable elements to improve the quality of shooting, sound quality. Of course, the size of these things will change, but the functions are unlikely to change. We will become accustomed to using a smartphone as the main element in a smart home, as the "heart" of laptops of the future - indeed, it is a sound idea to install the device in a case with a comfortable keyboard and a large display! A sound idea about the fact that the smartphone will replace the console - only Apple will have its own garden, Sony has its own, Samsung has one more. Who knows, maybe there will be no such companies - except that Sony in Japan will probably be supported at the government level for many years to come. But who knows, who knows. What I can say for sure is that the LG G5, presented in Barcelona two weeks ago, was awarded for innovation, made of iron, at first glance it seems like an ordinary smartphone - only here it uses a modular design. Recently, I was sitting in a male company, and, as it usually happens, the conversation turned to gadgets. Not only that, about the gadgets of the future. The discussion turned out to be quite interesting, because people who were not too tech-savvy were talking, and many of the future technologies that were voiced anyway already exist.

It may well be that the solar battery will be built right into the case, in the rear part transparent to sunlight, or even occupy the entire area around the screen. Already now there are gadgets where a conventional battery is paired with a solar battery, and this gives an amazing run time, remember many Casio G-shock watches. They work for years, and the battery does not need to be changed - it is quite possible that this will happen with smartphones. Maybe there will be new technologies for the production of batteries, which will give increased capacity with the same or smaller dimensions, and the charging time will decrease. I don’t believe in hydrogen or any other elements, look, we live in 2016, but blasters, coupled with flying cars, did not appear. Most likely, the evolution of batteries will follow the paths that already exist - just a few years ago, no one believed in electric vehicles, but in our time it is no longer exotic.

Most likely, the usual warranty service will become a thing of the past - I mean the usual schemes like "smashed the display - took receipts / documents / smartphone - went to the service center - received diagnostic results - handed over for repair - received it from repair." This whole chain depresses not only the consumer, it also interferes with the manufacturer, in the future it will probably be easier and cheaper to simply allocate devices for replacement in ANY CASE. It doesn’t matter if the device broke down due to marriage or the fault of the user, it’s easier to issue a new one, a person will restore data from the cloud in minutes, enter logins / passwords and continue to use it.

4. One more thought about the size of devices. In the film Looper (we have Looper), the protagonist's apparatus is a very small tile of transparent material. The year is 2074, bandits from the future send their victims to the past, drugs drip into their eyes, but something is clearly wrong with that smartphone. Will social networks, mail, messengers really disappear in fifty years? It seems to me that a screen size of about five inches is the golden mean, such a device fits comfortably in any hand. Now imagine that there are no frames, less thickness due to the reduction of components, so why make a smaller screen? I mean, it's unlikely that screens will get smaller in the future. If you look at the evolution of phones, you can see everything very well, but phones are not smartphones. They were large, the manufacturers tried to reduce the size, they reduced it to the point where it became simply inconvenient to use the devices, they rolled back.

But such a number will not work with smartphones. How to shrink a device where the display size is 5 inches? It won't be that small anyway. Most likely, the sizes of future devices will fluctuate within modern gadgets, just some iPhone 9 with a display diagonal of 5.3 inches will be like a modern iPhone 6S.

5. Surely in the future, the data transfer rate in cellular networks will be such that there will be no need to frantically search for Wi-Fi wherever possible, as it happens now. I remember when I started the first smartphone with LTE, in Moscow I stopped connecting to Wi-Fi in restaurants, cafes, even at work. Why, if the operator sometimes provides even greater speed and a more stable connection? Yes, probably, Wi-Fi will also develop, in hotels we will ask for the network name and password - especially if the hotel is located in some exotic place where the phone does not pick up well. But, in general, all these habits will remain only with grandparents - that is, with you and me.

6. The very concept of "roaming" in the future will surely become a thing of the past - or it will remain as a kind of service, not so expensive. I use Beeline, and I like the roaming that is now, when nothing needs to be connected, everything happens automatically, even in Europe you can safely use the Internet - yes, it's expensive, but not as EXPENSIVE as it was a few years ago. I remember that in 2010, while in Germany, I sat on Facebook for five thousand rubles (my fault, I understand everything). Now I have been using the Internet for five days in the usual way and I cannot say that I paid some space money. Probably, in a few more years, the price of roaming will become even more comfortable - well, those who travel often will be able to receive even more benefits, special services.
